After days of clouds, rain, hail, and even some snow, it was good to see the sun for a while.
This image was obtained with a double-stacked Lunt LS50THa telescope and a ZWO ASI178mm monochrome astronomy camera.
The dark linear features are called filaments. They are prominences seen in silhouette against the brighter solar disk. They look much more three dimensional when the image is viewed as a negative:
