Until the Moon rises, Venus is still the brightest object in the night sky. It shines brightly at magnitude -4.1 in the west during twilight.

The full moon of July, which occurred yesterday, is known in some cultures as the "Buck Moon". The following images were obtained with a 60mm f/6 refractor and a 1.5x MDB (Magic Dakin Barlow).
